Privacy Policy

OpenSourcer builds local-first software. The short version of this policy: our apps don't collect your data, and our website doesn't track you. The longer version follows.

1. Our apps

DeskState, Bouncer Bar, and every other OpenSourcer app:

• store all of their data (sessions, layouts, rules, settings) as local files on your Mac;
• contain no analytics or telemetry SDKs;
• require no account to use;
• send no usage data, crash reports, or identifiers to us or anyone else.

The only network activity our apps perform is checking a license key at activation and, if you enable it, checking for app updates. Neither includes personal data beyond what is technically necessary (the license key itself and the app version).

2. Our website

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and uses no advertising or fingerprinting scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the standard technical request data (such as your IP address) needed to serve the font files.

3. Purchases

When you buy a Pro license, checkout is operated by our merchant of record. They collect the information needed to process your order — name, email address, payment details, and billing country for tax purposes — under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, and order details so we can deliver your license key and provide support. We never see or store your payment card details.

4. Email

If you contact support@opensrcr.com, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and improve the products. If you purchase an app, we may send you transactional email (receipts, license keys, security notices) and occasional product-update announcements; every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link.

5. What we never do

• We never sell or rent personal data.
• We never share data with third parties except the service providers named above (checkout, email delivery), and only as needed to operate.
• We never profile users or build advertising audiences.

6. Data retention and your rights

We keep order records as long as required for tax and accounting law, and support correspondence for up to 3 years. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing support@opensrcr.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

7. Children

Our website and apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted prominently.
